If you know us, you know that we have the worst luck with our heating and air system. On our 2nd wedding Anniversary (2007), our AC died. We were able to repair it but for a price of $1000. This year on our 3rd Anniversary, it died completely. That set us back $5500. While it was a difficult time, we knew that God was with us and that he will provide for us.
Well disaster struck again. This week it has been (according to me) unseasonably cold for October. Since we have a baby now, we were forced to turn on the heater. Normally Jonathan and I would bundle up and enjoy it. We like being cold. Well...looks like we got our wish, kinda. The furnace wasn't working.
The techs who installed our new AC unit and furnace came out 3 times to work on it. Nothing was working. The owner came out today and discovered our regulator was broken. That part is not covered under warranty. The bill for labor and parts...$150.
Now, $150 may not seem like a lot but it is right now, especially after spending a total of $6500 on our HVAC.
This is where God steps in in all His glory. As Jonathan was talking with the owner, the owner told him to tear up the bill. He said we had spent enough on this and he wasn't going to charge us. GOD IS AMAZING!!!! What a truly amazing blessing!

We had such a great time. The party was hosted by some dear friends for our Sunday school class. There was chili, dips, and lots of desserts. Our family even won Best Costume!!

Words we should learn from
“If an American is to amount to anything he must rely upon himself, and not upon the State; he must take pride in his own work, instead of sitting idle to envy the luck of others. He must face life with resolute courage, win victory if he can, and accept defeat if he must, without seeking to place on his fellow man a responsibility which is not theirs.” - Theodore RooseveltI wish this is what Americans still believed...things would be a lot better off.

Disney bound...a year ago today
Yep. That's right. A year ago today my mom and I were on our way to the magical world of Disney. It's a mother/daughter tradition that we started when I was in high school. Just mom and me running around Disney world. We have the best time. Each year we stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and coincidentally, in the Barbados building each time! We enjoy our walks to Old Port Royale where we can eat, shop, swim and listen to the tunes of the Caribbean. We love our resort! From there we hop on the Disney bus (a nice big air conditioned charter bus) and head to our park for the day. We take advantage of Disney's Fast Pass and have a rountine for our rides. Last year we tried a bunch of news things especially at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It was so much fun!!! I miss it terribly.
While we were at Magic Kingdom we came across a show called "Pirate Tutorial" starring Captian Jack Sparrow. Y'all...the guy playing Jack Sparrow was a dead ringer for the real deal. Mom and I watched that show probably 10 times during our 2 visits to Magic Kingdom. It was a funny show and man was he HOT. :o)
This trip was a little different than our previous trips. My stomach was hurting off and on. Nothing major...I was still able to have fun, it just made eating a little difficult. I thought it was the heat making me feel queezy. Turns out, I had a little stow away in my tummy that I didn't know about until after we got home! It was Kenley's 'first' trip to Disney!!!
I miss Disney...I can't wait to go back and share that experience with my daughter!! :o)
Why I love Thursdays
Thursdays are the day before Friday. The day before the weekend starts. The week is almost over...so Thursday's pretty much rock all on their own. What makes them even better is that they are also the night of my favorite shows!
From 1994-2004 it was Friends night. I will admit that the night the final Friends episode aired and I cried like a baby! It was the end of an era!! Now my Thursdays are reserved for The Office and Grey's Anatomy. Thursdays are exciting again!!
I can't wait until tonight...I'm such a nerd :o)
